Winter Woolly Drive

Winter Woolly Drive

Introduction

The Winter Wooly Drive is one of our longest-standing seasonal initiatives, created to bring warmth, dignity, and relief to vulnerable families during the coldest months of the year. Each winter, we mobilise communities, schools, and partners to donate blankets, warm clothing, and essential winter items. By providing these necessities, we ensure that individuals and families can face winter with comfort, protection, and renewed hope.

Challenge

Thousands of families across our province endure winter without the basic clothing and warmth needed to stay safe and healthy. Harsh weather conditions increase the risk of illness, especially for children and the elderly.

Problem

Many households cannot afford winter essentials. In some communities, unemployment, poverty, and inadequate housing make winter an especially dangerous season. Without proper clothing or bedding, families face cold nights, health complications, and additional emotional stress.

Kid
A little warmth can spark a big change - every blanket shared wraps someone in hope this winter.

Solution

The Winter Wooly Drive offers a practical, immediate, and community-driven response to winter hardship. Through extensive collection drives and donation campaigns, we bring warmth directly to households in need. Our approach focuses on dignity, comfort, and community unity.

01. Collecting Winter Essentials

Gathering blankets, jackets, scarves, socks, and children’s clothing from generous individuals, groups, and organisations.

02. Community Distribution

Delivering winter items directly into vulnerable communities where the need is greatest.

03. Partnering With Schools & Businesses

Mobilising learners, staff, and corporate partners to amplify reach and impact.

04. Creating Warm, Safe Spaces

Supporting shelters, community centres, and families to ensure no one faces winter unprotected.
